The 500-acre master-planned community of Stonegate is located in Central Scottsdale, just east of Scottsdale Ranch and south of Shea Blvd. The beautiful lush community, with its palm tree-lined streets, consists of approximately 900 homes in 15 distinct neighborhoods. Development was started in the early 1990s and finished in 2005 by great builders like Edmunds Associates, Saddleback Homes, and Golden Heritage Homes, as well as various custom home builders in five of the custom home neighborhoods. Homes range from two bedroom patio homes to six bedroom custom estates, between 1,400 to 5,200 square feet. These single-family homes are in gated neighborhoods, offering both single and multi-level homes.
Things To Do: Stonegate real estate offers great amenities, starting with the centrally located clubhouse that provides an olympic size community pool, seven tennis courts, sport courts, a play area and miles of walking trails throughout the community. Just outside of the community is the 23-acre Stonegate Equestrian Park, which offers two riding arenas, a round pen arena, nature trails and a playground. The Scottsdale Ranch Park & Tennis Center is nearby and is a great place for families and active adults as it provides sand volleyball courts, basketball courts and 18 tennis courts. Also nearby is The Talking Stick Resort & Golf Club, which offers a great golf course and is the spring training home of the AZ Diamondbacks and CO Rockies. The Loop 101 Freeway is easily accessible and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is approximately 10-15 minutes away.
There are plenty of places to shop and dine around the Stonegate community, such as the Mercado Shopping Center. A short drive away are the many stores and restaurants at Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarters, Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and Downtown Scottsdale.
Schools: Children attend the Scottsdale Unified School District schools of Laguna Elementary, Mountainside Middle School, and Desert Mountain High School.
