Fountain Hills, Arizona is located on the eastern slopes of the McDowell Mountains and is connected to Scottsdale via Shea Boulevard. The town was established in 1970 and still has a rural, small town feel. Fountain Hills is loved for it’s stunning mountain views and desert landscape. There are plenty of housing options in the area ranging from condos, town homes, golf communities and custom homes. There are gated and not gated communities, single or multi-levels homes and residents enjoy many arts and crafts festivals throughout the year. Avenue Galleries & Shops, The River Of The Time Museum and of course the jewel of Fountain Hills: Fountain in The Desert. This is one of the world’s tallest fountains that puts on a show every 15 minutes at the top of each hour. It is in the center of a lagoon which is the town center and meeting place for locals and visitors.
Amenities: Nearby is a community theatre and amphitheater which hosts many plays and art events. A short drive east is the popular Fort McDowell Casino and We-Ko-Pa Resort that offers full service restaurant and spa.
The McDowell Regional Park is only 10 miles away where you’ll find scenic terrain for outdoor activities from hiking, biking, horseback riding and golfing.
Eagle Mountain Golf Club is located to the west of Fire Rock. This community includes The Inn at Eagle Mountain, a luxury boutique hotel. The homes in the neighborhood are mostly single-family detached homes, sized 1,600 to 4,800 square feet, and townhomes ranging from 1,700 to 2,600. Homeowners in Eagle Mountain enjoy the golf course all year with preferred tee times and discounted rates.
SunRidge Canyon is another golf community that features a 6,823-yard, par 71 course designed by Keith Foster. SunRidge Canyon has won several awards, including the Golf Week Best Courses in Arizona four separate years, as well as the Golf World’s Readers’ Choice Award for the Top 50 Public Courses in the Country. In this community, you’ll find single-family homes with size ranging from 1,400 square feet to approximately 6,000 square feet.
Fountain Hills is only about 30 minutes away from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Fashion Square Mall and Phoenix.
Children attend schools that are part of Fountain Hills School District.
