Arcadia Lite is a community just south and west of Arcadia Proper. On this map, this neighborhood is represented by the area from Thomas Road south to McDowell Road, and from 32nd Street east to 68th Street. Most homes in this area range from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, and feature prices that are on average lower than the homes in Arcadia Proper. Many of the homes in Arcadia Lite have been or are being remodeled, and this area is considered to be up and coming. Specific neighborhoods within Arcadia Lite include Chesley Terrace, Casa Marbella, Kachina Gardens, Village Condo, Dalton Park, Arcadia Cove, Griffith Park, Montrose, Sherwood Heights, and Redlands, among others.
Amenities: Arcadia Lite does have its own neighborhood association, which was established in 2007, and serves 250 single-family homes within this area. The central location of Arcadia Lite makes this neighborhood an ideal home base for commuting to downtown Phoenix or any of the outer suburbs. This also means shopping, culture and entertainment options aren’t more than a few minutes away, and Arcadia Lite is five to ten minutes from downtown Scottsdale, a cultural and art hub. Shopping at the Biltmore Fashion Park and Scottsdale Fashion Square is minutes away, and ten minutes away is downtown Phoenix with its many museums (science, children’s, art), sporting venues (Chase Field and Talking Stick Resort Arena) and theatres (Herberger and the Dodge). The Desert Botanical Garden is due south of Arcadia Lite.
Nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts alike will enjoy nearby Camelback Mountain as well as the many bike and jogging paths throughout Arcadia Lite and along the Arizona Canal. Arcadia Park has playgrounds, volleyball courts, grass areas, picnic ramadas and multipurpose sport fields. Golfers have many options as well, including the Arizona Country Club, Phoenician Golf Course, in the foothills of Camelback Mountain.
Schools: The Paiute Neighborhood Center contains a Boys and Girls Club for local youth. The Scottsdale School District serves family-friendly Arcadia Lite, including Hopi Elementary and Tavan Elementary, Ingleside Middle School and Arcadia High School. All are A rated public schools. Arcadia Lite as well as nearby Arcadia Proper have several private and charter school options available to its residents.
